Raspberry Pi Radio
The above artifact is an internet radio and design with the aesthetics of the living room frame and the basic shapes that make it up are a circle and a rectangle, thus forming curves in combination with each surface. It was created according to the specifications set by the design team and according to them this particular artifact combines two different volumes and different materials such as wood, metal and rubber. Then the design proceeded based on the specifications of the design team and the functionality, as it seems a slope has been added to the front part where the screen is located yet the dimensions of the original form have been significantly reduced as there was a lot of unused space.
The interface
Station selection buttons was placed on the horizontal surface for practical reasons (risk of slipping).
According to the final design a research was made for the integration of electronic subsystems such as speaker, raspberry pi, monitor, converter, batteries, dual function button and the amplifier.
During the process of redesigning the product, models were made to understand the sizes of the design form in order to optimize the arrangement of the inside technology compartments.
